Sumo in Osaka!
The second day of my trip, I went to Osaka to watch Sumo. I really enjoyed it. To know about sumo have a look on this website (french): www.sumofr.net
Asashoryu, the 68th Yokozuna.
Back to the anonymity after a quick defeat.
Rikishi (wrestlers) greeting the judges. At the fisrt hours of the day almost nobody assist the fights. The bosses will come later.
The falls from the dohyo (sumo's ring) are sometimes spectaculars.
Young rikishi.
The Makushita.
The Osaka prefectural gymnasium.
The last fight of the day with Asashoryu who will finally lost the tournament 3 days later against Hakuo. The next tournament in Tokyo will be surely intense as if Hakuo win it, he can pretend of the Yokozuna title which can be hold by only one wrestler.
